Alfa Romeo Argentina

Authors: Cristián Bertschi, Estanislao Iacona
Aug. 2005 / text S.E. / pp. 368 / ill. b&w 362 / bound in boards, 248x305mm
(the book was released without wrapper, it is autographed by both authors
on the endpaper)

Alfa Romeo Argentina is the result of almost ten years of research. The purpose of this
labour is to tell most factual the history of the Alfa Romeo marque and its relation with
Argentina, and not to test, to certify or validate the history, the authenticity or pedigree
of all the cars included. This would have meant to become hypothetical. Intention of the
authors was do delve as deep as possible into the subject, with this aspiration in mind
and with the help of those who were involved in the events, contemporary witnesses
which are still alive, an entire non-pareil account was provided for the interested. The
story told starts with the arrival of the first cars from Milan in 1923 closing with the last
sports cars world championship race in 1972. Result tables from all races and the photos
edited for this volume are beyond any doubt.
