The Emilia Romagna, it is the region where Italy's great opera composer Giuseppe Verdi
was raised, a scenery that did inspire him over and over again. It is the region also where
another Italian with a great name grew up, at first willing to become an opera singer but
later creating an opera of his very own, one with an odd cast, with a strange storyline but
always dramatic. The performance is still running, and the author of this volume introduces
the main actors and the setting for the occurrences around and about Ferrari. Breaks are
included by three insertions of drawings providing landscape views and regionally typical
sights all this constitutes the background for the masterpieces from Maranello. Aesthetical
a truly successful record of the opus Ferrari.
